Police investigate two home invasions
CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Police are investigating a terrifying home invasion, one of two in Charlotte in24 hours.
The first one happened just north of the Derita area.
Children's toys could be seen on the porch, just feet from where the victim told neighbors he was pistol-whipped, tied up and even Tasered.
The 28-year-old victim told police he was getting out of his car around midnight Saturdaywhen seven or eightarmed menhit him in the head and forced him into the house.
The victim said the men tied him up, searched the house for valuables, but took off when they heard police sirens.
They got away with a cell phone and about $1,300 all while the man's 3 and 8-year-old children were there.
The other home invasion happened in the Steele Creek area Sunday morning.
The victim told police two men broke into his house about 8:30 a.m., pistol whipped him and stole electronics, along with his car, a grey Chrysler 300.
The victims weren t able to give police a good descriptions of their attackers.
Police say they have no reason to believe the crimes are connected.
