STATESVILLE, N.C. -- A tip given to the FBI led to the arrest of a registered sex offender accused of new sex crimes.

A Statesville Police Department investigator began looking into an alleged texting relationship with between Timothy Bustle, 38, and an underage female. Police say their interaction began in 2008 or 2009.

Detectives found child pornography and pictures of the alleged victim, who lived out of state, on Bustle s computer, according to Statesville Police.

Officers arrested the suspect on Wednesday for three counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor. They booked him into the Iredell County Detention Center on a $200,000 secured bond.

Further charges are expected.
