CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two men accused of robbing a woman on a Charlotte street have been arrested.

It happened in the 1300 block of Queens Road on March 1.

The victim told police a white van pulled up beside her and one of the suspects got out of the vehicle. Police say he demanded her purse, and both men then fled in the van.

Police identified Deareus Sims, 22, as one of the suspects on March 24. They located and arrested him on Parkdale Drive.

CMPD officers found their second suspect, 42-year-old Gerald Desmaratte, on Tuesday.

Both men are now charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Sims is also charged with obtaining property by false pretense.

Both are in the custody of the sheriff s office.
