CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A Charlotte Fire Captain was injured while fighting a blaze that authorities believe was intentionally set.

Fire crews responded to the house fire in the 8200 block of Four Sisters Lane around 2:30 Sunday morning.

The Charlotte Fire Department says they're investigating the fire that caused $200,000 in damage as an arson.

The home is a foster home, and a family of six is displaced as a result of the fire.

The suspect in the case is a juvenile.

A captain with CFD was injured during a partial ceiling collapse. He suffered fist and second-degree burns on his neck and back, and was taken to the hospital. CFD says the captain was treated and released, and is expected to make a full recovery.

The Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
