CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A homicide investigation is underway after police found a man lying in the roadway shot to death.
Around 4:30 Sunday morning, police were called to the 4300 block of Major Street near Tuckaseegee Park, where they found a man in the roadway who suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Rashad Porter. NBC Charlotte spoke with Porter's mother, who is begging for any witnesses to come forward to police.
Police tell NBCCharlotte Porter had one son.
