CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Emergency officials are on the scene of a crash involving a Charlotte Fire Department truck and a car.

The scene is at West Boulevard and South Tryon Street. The crash was in the middle of the intersection, and is caused delays for motorists, as several lanes in either direction were shut down.

One person was taken to an area hospital for treatment; the extent of injuries is unknown. Officials say no firefighters were injured in the crash.

Officials say the firetruck entered the intersection with lights and sirens when the collision occurred.
