CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There were no reported injuries after a dump truck caught fire on Interstate 485 Tuesday morning.

The dump truck caught fire around 7:15 a.m. on I-485 outer loop near West Boulevard.

The Charlotte Fire Department was able to put the fire out quickly. All outer loop lanes were briefly blocked, but reopened around 8 a.m.

For about 45 minuntes, the incident caused major delays for commuters on both the outer and inner loops of I-485 near West Boulevard.
