CONCORD, N.C. (AP) -- The North Carolina Transportation Department plans to close some lanes on Interstate 85 in Cabarrus County for some work.

The Charlotte Observer reported the right lanes on both sides of the highway will be closed for several days. The closures are planned from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. now until as long as Jan. 17.

The closures will be just north of Exit 52 near Concord.

Crews will be tearing down a temporary bridge used to haul heavy equipment and materials into the median as part of the I-85 widening project.
