CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Instead of a beer bash, a church on a North Carolina college campus is getting ready for a water war.
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is hosting a water balloon fight Wednesday evening. The balloons start flying at 7 p.m. near the campus entrance.
The event is considered as a way for the campus church called Impact to celebrate the opening of school. Pastor says it's also a chance to redefine what it means to party. The water balloon fight is alcohol-free and anyone can participate.
During the fight, students will form two lines and face off with a 15-to-20-foot safe zone between them.
