CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Authorities are investigating after a body was pulled from the bottom of a pool at an apartment complex Saturday evening.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police first responded to the Woodbridge Apartments on Yateswood Drive after dispatch received a 911-hang up call from the pool phone.

When authorities arrived on scene, what appeared to be a body was spotted at the bottom of the apartment complex pool. The water was murky, so a HazMat team was called to determine if the water was safe before a dive team confirmed a body was in the pool. The pool was then drained and the body was removed.

Authorities are now investigating to determine if any foul play was involved.

The age and name of the victim have not yet been released.
