Charlotte, NC The Better Business Bureau of Charlotte has put out its list of businesses with poor grades.The BBB calls it their Dirty Half Dozen .

The majority of businesses in our area work with the BBB to resolve consumer complaints because they care about their customers and they care about their business reputation, said BBB President Tom Bartholomy. Unfortunately though, there are businesses that don t respond to complaints, at all.

The top six businesses with the most unanswered BBB complaints from January 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013 are:

2. (BBB Grade F) Charlotte-based sells pre-paid wireless cell phone service online and offers an amazing deal. For $384, you will receive a smartphone, a laptop, internet card, portable printer, healthcare insurance, a prepaid $20 Visa card and more. Complainants allege that they did not receive the advertised products and have not been able to obtain a refund. The company has eight unanswered complaints in 2013 and 11 total complaints in the previous 36 months.
3. Luchey & Mitchell Recovery Solutions, LLC (BBB Grade F) Six people have filed complaints against Charlotte-based Luchey & Mitchell Recovery Solutions in 2013, a collections agency that specializes in collecting payday loans taken out online. Complainants allege that the agency s collectors threatened them and their families, and called their employers, in violation of the Federal Trade Commission s Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. The company has six total complaints in the previous 36 months.
4. Generations Making Differences LLC,(BBB Grade F) Based in Charlotte, Generations Making Differences sells magazines door-to-door.Complainants from North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Florida allege that they have not received the magazines they ordered and cannot get the company to refund their money. Generations Making Differences has five unanswered complaints in 2013 and 20 total complaints in the previous 36 months.

Mino Construction, LLC(BBB Grade F) Complainants allege that Charlotte-based Mino Construction took their insurance checks to replace their damaged roofs, but then failed to fulfill the contracts for the roofs. Mino Construction has five unanswered complaints in 2013 and seven unanswered complaints in the previous 36 months.

Home Appliance Repair, (BBB Grade F) Gastonia-based Home Appliance Repair is on the BBB s bad list for the fourth time with four unanswered complaints in 2013 and 30 unanswered complaints in the previous 36 months. Complainants from eight counties in North Carolina and South Carolina (Mecklenburg, Gaston, Lincoln, Iredell, Catawba, Cabarrus, Union, and York), paid $150 to $927 to Michael David Henderson for appliance repairs that they allege were not done properly, if at all. FOUR TIME REPEAT OFFENDER: #1 on the BBB s 2011 and 2012 Dirty Dozen Lists; #2 on the BBB s 2012 Midyear Dirty Half Dozen List.
