MONROE, N.C. (AP) -- An air show featuring World War II and propeller-driven aircraft is filling the skies over a North Carolina county.

The annual Warbirds air show concluding Sunday is based at the Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport in Union County. City of Monroe spokesman Peter Hovanec says there are lots of exhibits, plane and even explosives.

Vintage military planes are flying maneuvers over the airport and allowing the curious a closer look on the ground.
