ANGIER, N.C. (AP) -- Three men were killed in a weekend wreck in Johnston County.

North Carolina troopers say 46-year-old Douglas Ray Baldwin was driving just before 10 p.m. on Saturday when he ran off the road and struck a tree. Authorities say the crash was so forceful that the car split in two.

Authorities say he and two passengers -- 38-year-old Tony Ray Collins and 57-year-old Willie James McNair -- were killed.

Troopers say only McNair was wearing a seatbelt. The Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
