MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Police, fire and the hazardous materials team responded to the Lowe's parking lot in Mooresville after a substance was found in a vehicle during a traffic stop.

Mooresville Police say a vehicle was stopped due to a registration violation around 1:45 as it traveled along River Highway.

During the traffic stop in the parking lot of Lowe's in Mooresville, the officer reported finding items he believed to be consisten with methamphetamine manufacturing.

The State Bureau of Investigation, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, Mooresville Fire and the HazMat team were all called to the scene to investigate.
