CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A construction worker was injured and had to be rescued while working at a project site in south Charlotte on Thursday morning.
The rescue took place in the 6400 block of Donnegal Farm Road near Weddington Road north of Interstate 485, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.
The man fell while helping build the foundation of a home. The area is in a residential neighborhood that is still be under construction.
MEDICsaid the victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Carolinas Medical Center.
Crews were called to the scene around 11 a.m. and the victim was raised from the site via a CFD firetruck ladder at 11:40 a.m. The name of the victim has not been released.
