CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Emergency crews are on scene of a wreck with injuries in front of South Meck High School in south Charlotte Friday morning.

The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on Park Road near Arbor Pointe Drive and at least two people are hurt, according to officials.

A black car overturned after colliding with a red SUV at the intersection. The driver and a passenger in the red SUV were both taken by a stretcher to a nearby hospital.

It's unclear what caused the wreck, and the names of any victims have not been released.

Northbound traffic is being rerouted, and southbound traffic on Park Road is slow as well.
