CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Amtrak station on Tryon Street was evacuated Monday morning for investigation of a suspicious package.

The Charlotte Fire Department evacuated the Amtrak Station in the 1900 block of North Tryon Street for about an hour Monday morning.

Firefighters and the bomb squad investigated and determined the unattended package was not a threat, clearing the business to resume normal operations.

No injuries were reported.
