CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A man was arrested Sunday after a loaded weapon was found in his possession at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, authorities say.

The Transportation Security Administration tweeted out a photo of the loaded .40 pistol recovered from a carry on bag at a security checkpoint at the Charlotte airport.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested Thomas Taylor, 59, and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon.

The TSA says the firearm was the twenty-first gun recovered at Charlotte-Douglas this year.
