CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have charged a second person in the murder of a 25-year-old Charlotte man back in September.

Based on evidence and information collected throughout their investigation, detectives charged 21-year-old Deguan Octavian Reid in the murder of Bob David Pate.

Pate was gunned down on Stonehenge Lane in mid-September and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Marte Javon Kelly Edwards, 17, was charged in the murder back in November.

Reid is charged with murder, attempted murder, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, shooting into an occupied vehicle and assault by pointing a gun.

Reid was already in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail on unrelated charges.

detectives have charged a 17 year old for a September murder.
