CHESTERCOUNTY, S.C. -- The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a fatal plane crash in Chester County.

The FAA says the wreckage of an AA1 aircraft was found on Monday about 10 miles southwest of Chester.

Two people were aboard the plane when it crashed, and authorities say both suffered fatal injuries. Their identities have not yet been released.

The flight, which has been missing for days, departed from Wilmington, North Carolina, on Friday, and was headed to Heaven's Landing Airport in Clayton, Georgia, the FAAsays.

Further information is expected to be released by local authorities.
