CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- You don t have to be a genius to know there is a lot of money in the rental car business, and Hertz is one of the biggest names in that business.

An employee at the Charlotte Airport location is under investigation after claims he gave rental cars to customers, and then kept the money for himself.

Jarren Phillip Hilton worked there but was arrested Tuesday.

Sources say he would take cars and give rentals to family and friends. He allegedly charged them and pocketed the cash.

Hilton faces embezzlement and fraud charges.

A total of 10 cars went missing. Police say when the company confronted Hilton about the issue, nine cars miraculously reappeared at the lot. The tenth car, a $39,000 Buick Enclave, is still missing.
