KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- The Kannapolis Police are investigating a movie theatre robbery that happened Friday night.

According to a GEMS Movie Theater manager, the suspect went up to the box office and demanded money from the cashier after telling her he had a gun in his pocket. The robber ran away with approximately $60.

Managers say the robber's face was painted white and he was wearing a stripped hoody and a baseball cap.

Officials say the ordeal lasted about 30 seconds, and was all caught on surveillance video. No was was injured, and thus far no arrest.
