CLOVER, S.C. -- The York County Sheriff s Office has made two arrests in connection with the shooting death of a 22-year-old man.

Kevin Mitchell Eades, 21, was arrested Wednesday morning in Spartanburg County. He's charged with the murder of Travis Koin.

Authorities also arrested Joseph Matthew Polk, 21, for accessory after the fact.

Early Tuesday morning, deputies responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of Wiggins Road near the city of Clover.

Upon their arrival, officials found the 22-year-old Travis Koin, who died about an hour later at the hospital from a gunshot wound.

After further investigation, a murder warrant was issued for Eades.

Officials say Eades' criminal history is extensive, including convictions for assault and battery, drug possession, burglary and criminal domestic violence.

Both Eades and Polk are currently detained at the York County Detention Center.
