LANCASTER, S.C. -- An accused bank robber didn't make it far with the cash after knocking off a Wells Fargo branch in Lancaster Wednesday.
Wednesday afternoon, Lancaster Police were notified of a possible robbery at the Wells Fargo at Main Street and Woodland Drive.
Lancaster Police Captain Scott Grant and another detective were close by when the call came in.
Police say the man presented a note to the teller stating he had a firearm and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect left the building.
As soon as the suspect walked outside, he was greeted by Captain Grant and the detective. The suspect was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.
Police have not yet released the name of the suspect. More details are expected to be released this afternoon.
