MONROE, N.C. -- The City of Monroe announced upcoming road closures due to infrastructure upgrades.
The City of Monroe will begin work on installing a new water main on Benton Street beginning this Thursday. One lane of traffic will be closed while crews place the new new pipe.
Weather permitting, the installation will begin Thursday, with the partial-road closure in place through June 4.
On Monday, May 19, the City's stormwater maintenance crew will begin work on drainage improvements in the 2600 block of Rolling Hills Drive between Brawinal Court and Dogwood Circle.
The drainage improvements will include the replacement of the existing 42-inch drainage pipe, as well as channel improvements downstream of the crossing.
Rolling Hills Drive will be closed to thru-traffic until May 30.
