A crowd of people was locked out of Time Warner Cable Arena on Wednesday night as some of the main speakers were taking the stage.

It all happened because organizers said the fire marshal had ordered no more people could come into the arena at that time.

It later was clarified that the delay was due to security surrounding the arrival of President Obama.

Delegates and others with convention credentials had to wait outdoors for some time before more were allowed to enter again.
