CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Sunday afternoon, flames gutted the structure seven people called home.

Charlotte Fire crews were dispatched by the alarm company to the approximately 7,000 square foot home in the 12,100 block of James Jack Lane around 1:30.

It took 44 fireman more than half an hour to bring the blaze under control.

No injuries were reported, and authorities say none of the seven displaced residents were home at the time of the fire.
