CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte B-Cycle is celebrating a milestone with the opening of a new station.

The New Bern Station in the South End marks the bike share programs 21st station across the Queen City.

B-Cycle is also ringing in their first anniversary. It was just a year ago they set up shop in Charlotte. The newest addition is a big boom for the city's South End.

These residents need an additional way to take their trips. So it really does help people live here and then have more option to get in to town or to run their errands, said B-Cycle Executive Director, Dianna Ward.

B-Cycle just signed up its 500th annual pass member. Riders logged more than 32,000 miles last year.
