MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. Charlotte-Mecklenburg School buses are hitting the road first thing Monday morning.

It's a week of practice runs for bus drivers, designed to get them familiar with their routes. Nearly 1,000 school buses will be on the roads from 5 a.m. through 1 p.m. every day this week.

Students head back to school next Monday, August 26th.

Also on Monday, CMS Superintendent Dr. Heath Morrison will be live in our studios answering questions about the new school year.

He'll be taking questions submitted on our facebook page starting at 6 a.m.
