The former smoker s ad played a leading role in a campaign by the CDC to show how smoking damages the body.

It had more than 2.8 million views.

Terrie Hall of Lexington lost her battle with oral and throat cancer at 53.

In another memorable ad, she advised smokers to make videos of themselves before losing their voices.
