CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Gaston County Police have announced a third arrest in the murder of a man whose body was dumped on a roadway in west Charlotte in late-March.

Last week, investigators charged 49-year-old Avery Joe Lail and 56-year-old Delia Aldridge Rick in the death of Brian Dale Jones, 41.

Jones was murdered in the 200 block of Green Chapman Road in Gaston County, police say, then his body was dumped in the 8900 block of Old Dowd Road in Charlotte late one Sunday night in late-March.

Lail is charged with first-degree murder; Rick is charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

On Wednesday, authorities arrested Mark Anthony Huntley, 41, of Gastonia, and charged him with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

Officials say Huntley is an acquaintance of Lail and Rick and helped the duo dispose of Jones' body. Additionally, Gaston County Police say Huntley helped Lail remove evidence and alter the homicide scene.

Huntley is currently held in the Gaston County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
