KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Highway Patrol said on Monday they will release the results of the investigation into a bus crash in Jefferson County that killed six people from Statesville.

The crash happened in October on Interstate 40 westbound and involved the Front Street Baptist Church bus in Statesville.

The six were among 17 members of the church s Young at Heart Seniors Ministry who were returning from a religious gathering when the front tire of their bus failed on Interstate 40 near Knoxville.

The bus careened across a median, causing a fiery crash with other vehicles that left eight people dead and several others hospitalized.

A press conference is scheduled for Monday in Knoxville.
