HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Emily Joy, the Huntersville resident competing on NBC's The Biggest Loser, helped her team win week 2 of the weight loss competition and avoided elimination from the program.

Joy lost a total of four pounds for the week but believed she could have done better.

I want seven [pounds] for a pound a day, she said during the show Tuesday night. It's not what that is and I'm not happy.

Although Joy was disappointed with the results, her weight loss was enough to help her team edge out a win for week 2.

The 29-year-old teacher began the competition weighing 264 pounds and has high blood pressure. She used to be a junior Olympian in weight lifting, and lost 10 pounds in the weigh-in last week.

Joy is competing for a $250,000 grand prize.
