CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Firefighters were called to a home in north Charlotte after a fire broke out Wednesday afternoon.

Crews arrived on scene around 5 p.m. at 3808 Durham Lane in the Nevin Community north of Interstate 85 and east of Interstate 77.

It's unclear what caused the fire to break out, but no one was hurt, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

It took more than two dozen firefighters about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control. Extensive damage is seen on the outside of the home.
