LINCOLNTON, N.C. A missing Lincoln County man has been found in Charlotte, but the search continues for two persons of interest accused of using his financial information.
Detectives found Glenn Ray Johnson, 42, at the Transportation Transit Center Tuesday. He was last seen leaving his home on Eaker Road on October 3. Family members told authorities Johnson left on foot for the WalMart in Cherryville.
Detectives were able to confirm that Johnson called a cab upon his arrival at WalMart, which took him to the Greyhound Bus Station in Charlotte.
Officials say Johnson has suffered several strokes, which left him partially paralyzed on one side, causing him to walk with a limp. Authorities believed Johnson could have been staying in a homeless shelter in Charlotte. Detectives responded to a tip Tuesday and found Johnson safe at the transit center.
Meanwhile, detectives are looking to identify and locate two persons of interest who have been captured on surveillance cameras using Johnson's credit or debit card.
Officials say Johnson's credit card was used at least twice at ATMs on October 21, and again at McDonalds on Monday. The investigation has been turned over to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The persons of interest were driving a white, extended cab pickup with a large toy on the dash.
The sheriff's office believes another individual is in possession of Johnson's cell phone.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff s Office.
