CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Jobs cuts are coming to Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

United Airlines plans to eliminate more than 70 jobs as part of the company's plan to cut costs and boost profits.

The Charlotte Observer reports the jobs will be outsourced, and the cuts take effect on October 1.

The Queen City isn't the only city where United is cutting back; 430 workers will be laid off in Cleveland as the airline removes its hub there.
