CONCORD, N.C. -- Florida-bound travelers have a new option when it comes to flying.
Allegiant Airlines announced a new, nonstop flight from Concord to Tampa Bay.
The airline hopes this flight will have as much success as the one they began last year to Orlando. So far, in roughly a year, they've serviced 20,000 flights.
The Tampa flights will begin November 13. One way fares will start as low as $49 and the opportunity of low cost vacations is why Allegiant customers keep coming back.
"It's a beautiful beach in that area so it's a beach vacation, it's a family vacation and possibly also those people who may be living down there who are from this area wanting to come back," Jessica Wheeler with Allegiant Air said.
The company also announced it will expand its Orlando flights from two per week to four. That will be six flights in all from Concord to Florida beginning this fall.
