TROUTMAN, N.C. -- Investigators in Iredell County conducted an operation that ended with an arrest of well-known heroin dealer, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

Lance Gabriel Sigmon, 37, and Misty Dawn Goodman, 24, both of Troutman, were arrested by narcotics officers and charged for possession of heroin, crack cocaine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say Sigmon was known to be carrying a quantity of heroin back to the Carrigan Road neighborhood in Troutman from Charlotte following many hours of surveillance and interviews.

Sigmon and Goodman were arrested in a traffic stop in which quantities of heroin and crack cocaine were found hidden in the vehicle, officials say.

The Sheriff's Office says Sigmon already had pending charges for trafficking heroin for allegedly selling a half-ounce of heroin to an undercover officer.

Sigmon is held in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $400,000 bond, while Goodman's bond was set at $150,000.
