CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are seeking the identity of a man who stole more than a $1000 worth of copper tubing from a home under construction in north Charlotte.

Police say the suspect entered a home under construction in the 9400 block of Quilting Bee Lane around 3:30 Tuesday morning.

More than $1000 worth of copper of tubing was stolen from the home.

While police were investigating the initial call, they noticed a second home in the same block had also been broken-in to.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video; he's described as a black male with a goatee wearing a light-colored t-shirt.
