CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for a person who shot and killed a man in northwest Charlotte overnight Thursday.
Police found a man, 22-year-old Darius Antonio Fuller, suffering from a gunshot wound lying in the roadway near a car that had been involved in an accident on Tillman Road near Interstate 85 around 1 a.m.
Fuller, who detectives believe may have been a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Police have not said what led to the shooting, but they did say they don't believe the incident to be a random act of violence.
