CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- On Wednesday night Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested two robbery suspects at a home in the 6100 block of Monteith Drive.

But there was also a surprise; officers say four members of the Hidden Valley Kings, all of whome were named in an injunction banning them from hanging out, were also in the home.

"We didn't see a lot of activity for a good portion of the year; as time got a little closer toward the expiration of the injunction, we have seen several violations," said Captain Rob Dance of the North Tryon Division.

His officers have kept an eye on the Kings since the injunction, which is due to expire on August 17.

David Price was in the house during the arres; he was not locked up, and says he is not a gang member.

"It's not a gang or anything like that. It's family. It's family. It's none of that extra stuff that police say is going on," he says.

In addition to the alleged robbers and gang members inside the home, authorities say there was also a man who had just gotten out of federal prison on weapons charges.

"It's my hope that when they appear before the judge that the judge sends a very strong message to them," said Dance.

Police have given every indication they will be pushing for a renewal of the injunction. While there is no guarantee a judge will go along, you can bet he'll get an earful about this case.
