CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are looking for a man they say is responsible for two armed robberies.

Late in the night of Sunday, July 27, police say 23-year-old Brandon McInnis robbed the Sonic restaurant in the 200 block of Mount Holly-Huntersville Road at gunpoint.

Early the next morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say McInnis robbed the QuikTrip gas station in the 100 block of East Woodlawn Road.

In both cases, police say, McInnis brandished a weapon and demanded money from employees before fleeing the scene on foot. No one was injured in either armed robbery.

McInnis is wanted by CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team on two counts each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, along with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Police say they believe McInnis may have fled to the Miami, Florida-area.
