MONROE, N.C. -- Police in Monroe are investigating a home invasion in which the victim was tied up and her home ransacked.

Sunday night just before midnight, Monroe Police were called to an apartment in the 200 block of Venus Street.

The victim told police three black males with t-shirts over their faces, all carrying handguns, forced their way into the home, tied the victim up in the kitchen, and ransacked her apartment, demanding cash.

Police say all three suspects were in the 20s. One of the men is described as having dreads with red/orange tips.
