LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. -- A suspicious fire investigation led to two arson suspects in Lincoln County.

Susan Starlene Waldenville, 38, is charged with second-degree arson, larceny after breaking and entering, assault and trespassing. She has been arrested.

The investigation stems from a fire on Perry Jonas Road in June. Firefighters say they found a gas can in the front bedroom and televisions, jewelry and golf clubs were missing from the residence.

Joshua Lee Blackwell is in custody in York County for separate crimes but has been charged in this case as well.

Police say Waldenville also broke into a neighbor's home and assaulted the homeowner and her juvenile children. She was booked into the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center without bond.
