ALBEMARLE, N.C. -- An Albemarle man was arrested over the weekend on multiple child sex charges.
The Stanly County Sheriff's Office began investigating a reported sexual battery of a juvenile female on Saturday, August 23.
The reported assault took place at a home in the Albemarle area, officials say.
Benjamin Tyler Lennon, 35, of Albemarle, was developed as the suspect in the case. Authorities arrested Lennon on Saturday and charged him with two counts each of indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery.
He was booked in to the Stanly County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.
