CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the abuse of his 2-month-old son.
On Sunday, CMPD detectives met with and interviewed Scott Matthew Moss at the Cornelius Police Department in connection with possible child abuse of Moss' 2-month-old son.
CMPD took over the case from Cornelius PD after determining the alleged abuse occurred in the 1300 block of South College Street in Charlotte.
Detectives say Moss confessed to shaking the infant. Doctors told investigators the boy had suffered both old and new injuries.
Moss is charged with child abuse.
The case remains under investigation.
Police did not comment on the infant's current condition.
