CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's still not clear when a popular Plaza Midwood restaurant will reopen-- if it ever reopens.

The Penguin was expected to get back to business Thursday night, but didn't.

The once-popular restaurant abruptly shut its doors several days ago. Thursday night, the doors were still locked and the lights were off.

The landlord filed an eviction notice earlier this week, claiming the business no longer appears to be in operation.
