CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries Friday morning following a crash in southeast Charlotte.

MEDIC tells NBC Charlotte two patients were taken to Novant Presbyterian Hospital Friday morning with potentially-life threatening injuries following a two vehicle crash.

Emergency crews responded to the collision in the 700 block of Sharon Amity Road, just east of Randolph Road.

Police have not yet commented on what caused the accident, nor have they identified the victims.
