MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Mooresville High School has hired a new athletic director. Kevin Wilson was named athletic director on July 28, according to the Mooresville Tribune.
Wilson had served as athletic director at North Mecklenburg High School since 2009. He will take over for Barclay Marsh, who retired at the end of June after a 32-year career, with 29 of those years being in the Mooresville school system. Wilson will also serve as an assistant principal at Mooresville High. He is a graduate of California State University at Stanislaus and received his masters from Garner-Webb University.
Marsh was head football coach at Mooresville for six seasons before resigning following the 2008 season. Prior to accepting the athletic director position, Marsh was an assistant football coach for 18 years at Mooresville. He also spent three years as an assistant at Newton-Conover.
