CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Hough Huskies and Sun Valley Spartans officially started the high school football regular season Thursday night in Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. Hough's Bishop Ford had a huge night for the Huskies, racking up 193 yards and scoring four touchdowns. Sun Valley's Albert Funderburke had a strong performance, including a 76-yard touchdown scamper, but the Spartans were unable to keep pace with the talented Huskies, falling 34-20.

Bishop, a transfer from Forestview Gastonia reflected on his huge performance after the game.

"My line just blocked really good for me, and the holes just looked really big. That was really it, it was really good."
